Mountain Bikes

If you read our previous blog about the mountain bike trip in Sedona you read that we were hooked and wanted our own. Mike and I currently have road bikes that we use for our triathlons but we had such a great time we wanted to add these to our list of toys. We went to Performance Bicycles in Glendale because that is were we purchased Mike's road bike. Just like before, they took really good care of us and gave us a awesome deal. The 2009 models are on clearance because the 2010 models have taken over the store. I guess it works something like cars. Also when you are buying more than one bike they can give you even better deals.

The first picture is mine and it is a 2009 GT Marathon Elite Mountain Bike. I just love it and can't wait to go on a long ride with Mike. The picture just doesn't do it justice. It is one cool ride.
Mike was going to get the same bike but the guy could not find his size anywhere in the united states. Conveniently he was able to find the carbon fiber model in North Carolina. So this is what he got ( or I should say getting since it hasn't made it to Arizona yet )-2009 GT Marathon Carbon Pro Mountain Bike. I have to admit his bike is AWESOME and I'm a little jealous. His bike is way cooler. I will never admit that to him. In case you were wondering he never reads the blogs so he won't find out my true feelings about his bike. :)
