PAYTON
One of my favorite poems is 100 years from now. I think
it might be a favorite of many who work with children.
I have been blessed with having so many
wonderful children be a part of my life. Usually I have them
from the day their parents go back to work until they
head off to school. It is always difficult for me to say good bye.
I have a connection with them and my heart aches
when they leave but sometimes one of them takes a little piece
of my me with them. Payton said good-bye last week to
attend preschool and the difficulty I experienced
was almost more than I could handle. She has always been my little
sidekick and she makes me "crack up" on a regular basis. I thank
the Lord for having the privilege of having her and her family in my life.
100 YEARS FROM NOW
One hundred years from now
It won't matter
What kind of car I drove
What kind of house I lived in
How much money I had in the bank
Nor what my cloths looked like
BUT
The world may be a little better
Because, I was important
In the life of a child.
It won't matter
What kind of car I drove
What kind of house I lived in
How much money I had in the bank
Nor what my cloths looked like
BUT
The world may be a little better
Because, I was important
In the life of a child.
Below is a letter given to me by Payton's dad. I had to
have Taylor read it to me after the first sentence brought
me to tears.

This is what makes everyday that I watch
kids worth while. I pray that I am a blessing
to them. I know that God has blessed me with
this opportunity and with the wonderful families
that are now intertwined in my life. I don't take that for granted.
I look forward to their high school graduations, weddings and baby showers.
