CHINO VALLEY
TRIATHLON
06/04/11

Only three of us were able to make it to the Chino
Valley triathlon this past weekend. Originally Michael was
going to be working the
Diamondbacks games but ended up
getting a case of food
poisoning that kept him in bed from
Thursday night til Sunday.

Transition 1 - exiting the pool, wet and cold, heading to the bike.

Chino valley is just north of Prescott so the weather was
cold and windy which made the hilly bike ride
almost unbearable.

Transition 2 - finishing a brutal bike ride to lace
up running shoes and start the last part of the triathlon.

My parents were able to be at this event to watch us
and take some great action pictures.

The hardest transition for me is from the bike
to running. It feels like your legs forgot how
to walk let alone run.

The finish line is always a welcoming site.

We all came home with 1st place in our age group metals.
I placed # 4 overall for women.

Another memorable event. Four
weeks until our next race.
