NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS
How many of you make new years resolutions?
Here are some fun statistics I found.

The New York Post said that 50% of the people in
the United States make resolutions for the new year but
80% abandon those by the end
of February. Only 10% follow through with the resolution
and 69% of the people said they have never made a new years
resolution. ( who are they kidding? )

The most popular resolution made is to lose weight/get
in better shape followed by save money or get a better job.
Not surprisingly most resolutions have one thing in common.
They are all about YOU.

I heard another take on New Years Resolutions while listening

to KLOVE on the radio. It's not a "New Year Resolution" - it's One

Word that you use to cast a vision of the person you want to be in 2011.

Pastor Mike Ashcraft of Port City Church in Wilmington, NC, developed

the idea years ago to help him and his church get past the disappointment

of broken resolutions, but instead choose one word that focuses on

your character and creates a vision for your future.

The church service at CCV wasn't about creating resolutions

either but instead on creating a new life. They gave us

three ways to transform our life.

1- develop a new mindset

2-develop a new lifestyle

3-develop a new speech pattern

Pretty interesting isn't it? I have a few things I would like to accomplish

in 2011 (resolutions). I also have a few things I would like to change about

my life(transforming my life) and I have been thinking of a word to cast a

vision on who I want to be in 2011. Too much thinking if you ask me.

I would love to hear what you are doing or not doing in

regards to resolutions for 2011.

I'll end this with a quote I heard at church yesterday.

Two natures beat within my breast,
The one is foul, the other is blessed.
The one I love, the other I hate;
The one I feed will Dominate.

Now that really got me thinking!!!!
