Going Green

This is the little compost container I found at TJ Maxx that sits on our kitchen counter. Isn't it cute. It has a coffee filter in the lid so it doesn't stink up the kitchen.

COMPOST TUMBLER

Mike has been wanting to get a compost tumbler for some time now and we found the perfect one at Costco. Don't you just love Costco. It was exactly what we wanted and it was only 100.00. Taylor was not only shocked but a little embarrassed when we drove all the way across town to a store that actually had it in stock. Apparently she is in denial and is hoping this is just a faze that Mike is going through. However every time she comes home from college we have something new to introduce her to. Last night was Turkey burgers and that didn't go over well.

My excitement dropped a few notches when I saw all the little parts and 6 different books of directions/manuals in the box. ( good news, four of them were for different languages two of which I still have no clue what they were )
Mike usually likes to skip the whole read the direction process but after a few minutes that book and him became best friends.
Mike was hard at work putting this together while I was looking through my new book on Vegetarian living. It is called "the kind diet" by Alicia Silverstone ( yes, the actress ) If you do want to purchase it I recommend getting it at amazon.com.

The finished product!!! Pretty cool huh? Come over any time and see it. If you end up buying one, Mike is pretty good and assembling it!
